Completed in two days. It's quite simple and on the short side. Beautifuly looking game with basic interactions but with the perfect setting on a Scottish oil rig makes it the perfect game for me. 8/10. For £29 it's a steal!

Horror developers need to take note here, it's not jump scares or action that makes a great horror game. It's atmosphere, sense of unease, great soundtrack and sound design. The feeling of isolation and complete hopelessness is what it needs. This game has all of it and more. I was totally gripped from start to finish. Great design and story. Voice acting is the best I've heard in a long time. Well done and hope we get more, your on the right track. 10/10

Love this game, and as other reviewers have pointed out, it feels so realistic and believable. The environment's are gorgeous with typical clutter and everyday paraphenalia. The setting off the cost of Scotland and thick Scottish accents, ands to the palpable atmosphere. Its so claustrophobic, and it isn't always obvious as to which way you need to go. I died several times whilst being chased by some monstrous creature. Its an utterly absorbing life and death drama and worth every penny,

This is made by the same company, The Chinese Room from Brighton, I have played and enjoyed there other titles like Vampire The Masquerade, Dear Esther and my favourite Everybody's gone to the rapture.
It has been an enjoyable immersive and fun.

Lot more interaction and set pieces but not as innovative as everyone has gone to the rapture.

I thoroughly enjoyed this, it's a genuine attempt to try something new. The concept, story and writing is great and the oil rig feels like a real place. It's an excellent looking next-gen only game and wouldn't have been possible to this quality on previous generations. Nothing like this existed in the more retro past (especially with all the Scottish accents!).

You need to accept that it's only 5ish hours long and that some gaming tropes are necessary (e.g. yellow paint to tell you where to go) as you'd otherwise just get frustratingly lost.

Utterly brilliant, the game is everything I've been wanting for years in a horror game.

Leaves you wanting and questions on the thing, which is great for horror. The oil rig is a character on its own, never had a game nail a environment as much as this one.

Creatures are creative, feel familiar but something new at the same time, which makes a change.

The characters personal life and situation was a nice touch, no blank slates for the characters. Well written and really tense at times, not had a game make me feel any tension for a decade or so?

Honestly if you haven't played it, give it a go. I'd love another one in the series but if this is a one and done project.

Then the team nailed it!

Still Wakes the Deep is a chilling creature-feature that delivers a powerfully pure narrative bolstered by phenomenally talented performances from a cast that convey visceral emotions. Streamlined gameplay won’t satisfy every player, but developer The Chinese Room, in my opinion, does a fantastic job of balancing ‘walking sim’ with platforming and puzzle engagements.

Overall, Still Wakes the Deep is a lovingly curated journey through a Scotsman’s struggle to survive on an offshore oil rig crumbling to pieces while being relentlessly stalked by mysterious monsters. It’s tense, beautiful, and fantastically priced for the content.
