Wikipedia:Wikipedia Signpost/Subscribe

You can have the Wikipedia Signpost delivered to you every week, either on your user talk page, or via email. Or rather, you just get the "front page" -- the banner and story headlines, but with links to the "real" stories.

Alternatively, you can use a template to include the latest edition's headlines on any page. See Signpost-subscription. This means you will not get notified when new editions come out, but some people prefer that.

Subscribing to the spamlist will, of course, mean you get sent weekly messages automatically. If you don't want that, don't sign up.

This service is provided by the “Ralbot” bot (robot, an automated Wiki program), which is operated by user “Ral315”. The Signpost deliveries will appear as messages from “Ralbot”.

Note: Due to some issues with the bot, there is a very small chance that your page may be missed. The bot's operator is aware of the problem, but there's nothing he can do about this at this time.

This only delivers the English-language Signpost, even if you subscribe a non-English user talk page.

Do NOT sign your posts on this page. Simply link to your user page (or email link).

NOTE: This will only work for user talk pages (that is, the page name must begin with “User talk:”).

To get the Signpost on your user talk page, just add a link to your talk page. For example, “[[User talk:Example]]” (where “Example” is the account name).

The MediaWiki features which alert you to new messages will be triggered by delivery.

If you prefer, you can have the signpost delivered to a subpage, by using something like “[[User talk:Example/Signpost]]”. However, the “New messages” feature will not be triggered by delivery to subpages.

To get the Signpost via email, enter your email address here, then click the "confirmation" link in your email.

This will only work for WMF (Wikimedia Foundation) wikis, and only for user talk pages.
