Wrexham will begin life in League One next season at home to Wycombe Wanderers on 10 August, while on that Saturday in the Championship Cardiff City host Sunderland and Swansea City travel to Middlesbrough.

Newport County, meanwhile, face a short trip to play Cheltenham Town - managed by former boss Michael Flynn - the same day on the opening weekend of EFL fixtures.

The first south Wales derby arrives early as Swansea host Cardiff on 24 August, with the return at Cardiff City Stadium on 18 January.

The Boxing Day fixtures see Cardiff travel to Oxford United, Swansea entertain Queens Park Rangers, Wrexham at home to Blackpool, and Newport heading to Bromley.

The Exiles can enjoy home advantage against AFC Wimbledon on New Year's Day, as will Cardiff with Coventry City the visitors. The Swans travel south to play newly promoted Portsmouth, while Wrexham head to Barnsley.

The 2024-25 season is scheduled to finish on 3 May, with the Bluebirds away at Norwich City, Swansea hosting Oxford, Wrexham at Lincoln City and Newport at home to Tranmere Rovers.

Cardiff finished 12th and Swansea 14th in the Championship last season and both sides will be seeking something more than mid-table respectability in the new campaign.

After finishing second in League Two last season to secure back-to-back promotions, Wrexham will be looking to kick on again in League One, while Newport - currently managerless after Graham Coughlan's departure - could only look on enviously from 18th and will hope a new era of success beckons.

Full fixtures, which are subject to change, are available on the BBC Sport website for Cardiff, Swansea, Wrexham and Newport.
