Ligue 1 side Toulouse have signed Leeds United defender Charlie Cresswell for an undisclosed fee.

The 21-year-old England Under-21 international came through the Whites' academy and made 14 appearances for the senior side.

He spent the 2022-23 season on-loan at Millwall and played 28 times in the Championship.

Toulouse finished 11th in the French top flight last season.

Meanwhile, BBC Sport understands defender Diego Llorente is on the brink of joining Real Betis.

It is understood a fee slightly in excess of €3m (£2.53m) has been agreed for the 30-year-old.

The Spain international moved to Elland Road from Real Sociedad in an £18m deal in 2020 and has a contract that runs to 2026.

However, he has spent the past 18 months on loan with Italian side Roma and is still one of Leeds’ highest earners.

La Liga side Betis have already signed midfielder Marc Roca, 27, from Leeds this summer.
