Louisiana Workforce Commission hosts 2nd Rapid Hire Job Fair in Alexandria

The Louisiana Workforce Commission held its second Rapid Hire Job Fair at the Bolton Community Center in Alexandria on June 25.

ALEXANDRIA, La. (KALB) - The Louisiana Workforce Commission held its second Rapid Hire Job Fair at the Bolton Community Center in Alexandria on June 25.

Twenty-six booths were set up with a combined total of 739 job openings in various industries and occupations. Resume and online job application, on-site interview attire closet, financial literacy resources and veteran, disability and returning citizens resources were all offered on-site for the people attending as well.

“The purpose of the event is really to connect unemployed and under-employed individuals with immediate job openings,” said Janna Taylor, the Rapid Response Team Leader.

Some of the booths that were set up offering jobs were the Alexandria Police Department, Alexandria Fire Department, Office of Juvenile Justice, Red River Bank and many more.
