CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - This morning a suspect was arrested in connection to the 2015 homicide that occurred at The Coin Shop in downtown Cheyenne.

With the assistance of the Siskiyou County Sherriff’s Office, Douglas Smith, 68 years old, of McCloud California has been arrested with two counts of first-degree murder.

Smith is awaiting extradition from California to Cheyenne.

Cheyenne Police Chief Mark Francisco says that Smith is identified as the initial 911 caller.

On July 20, 2015 Cheyenne Police Officers responded to the report of a shooting and robbery at The Coin Shop located at 510 W Lincolnway.

George Manley, 76 years old, and Dwight Brockman, 67 years old, from Cheyenne were pronounced dead at the scene.

The investigation has remained open since 2015, over 1,500 hours have been spent working on the case, and it has now been turned over to the Laramie County District Attorney’s Office.
