SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) - As the flooding in northwest Iowa continues to wind down, residents in Rock Valley are struggling to find help where it’s needed most.

However, service efforts from a nearby company and one school made a difference Tuesday night.

RC Family Farms partnered with Northwestern College to feed the community in this time of need.

“We did it because those are the people that come to our college and work at our college, and those are the people that work on the farms and bring us their pigs, and we use them as part of our management system. So, they’re our people. We’re all family,” said event coordinator Anita Bomgaars.

Everyone from single people and families to large companies was given a warm meal for the night.
