Holiday Activities is back for 2024 and is now available to book. Holiday Activities provide fun and energetic activities for primary and secondary school children throughout the school holidays. Our camps offer a great opportunity to meet new friends, build on current skills or learn a new one, cure holiday boredom, all while having great fun!
This year we have many of your favourite holiday camps planned at venues across Dundee, there really is something for everyone. Holiday Activities promise to offer fun-filled activities that you will love.

Urban Moves Summer Dance Camp provide a fun and energetic week for primary and secondary school aged pupils. Football Holiday Camp
Our holiday programme is a great way to keep your child active throughout the holidays, by participating in fun filled days of football. Each day will see your child participate in technical challenges, fun games and small sided games, as they learn new skills and meet new friends, all in a safe and positive environment.
Our holiday programme is delivered by our highly qualified and experienced coaches who will attend to your child’s every need throughout the week. Our camps are suitable for children of all abilities, whether they play football every day, or if they simply wish to learn new skills. Our coaches will ensure that each child is at a level that they feel most comfortable, where learning and achieving is at its optimum. This will be based on age, but is subject to change depending on a player’s confidence and ability.

Gymnastics Camps
Gymnastics and Trampoline Camp for all abilities, a great chance to have fun and make friends while learning new skills. All camps are delivered by fully qualified gymnastics/trampoline coaches. Come along and learn gymnastics & trampoline skills in one of the best facilities in Scotland. Fun camp held within the McTaggart Regional Gymnastics Facility. Participants can come along have fun while learning new techniques and skills.
Bring along lunch and water bottle, tie long hair back and wear flexible clothing.
For gymnastics no socks or shoes in the hall.
For trampolining participants must wear normal socks.

Early Years Activities
Our Ready Steady Go summer holiday programme offers a variety of Early Years activities for children aged 0-5years.
Our summer programme allows you to book one off sessions, allowing you and your child to try new and fun activities together.
Sessions include baby yoga, family little gymnasts, baby massage, boogie babies, messy play, Oh Baby fitness, water play and many more.

Sport & Splash
Sport and Splash holiday camps are packed filled with the most popular sports on offer! Our camp will consist of a multi-sport programme, offering participants the opportunity to play sports such as football, basketball, pickleball, dodgeball and other playground games! Swimming will also be on offer to everyone who attends the camp, and is a great opportunity to learn new skills in the water, gain confidence when swimming and have fun!
The Sport and Splash camp is a great opportunity to sample many different sports over the week, all whilst having fun!!

Aquatics
Rookie Lifeguard Camp
Rookie Lifeguard is suitable for Children 8 yrs-14yrs who can swim in deep water and confidently swim 25 metres. The aim is to inspire and embolden children, help keep themselves, their friends and their family safe in the water through a range of fun activities that lead towards a series of awards. This camp is for entry level Bronze Award and progressing to the level where our Rookie Lifeguards perform impressive lifesaving tows.

Splash Camp
Splash Camp is suitable for children 8-12 yrs who are confident in deep water and can confidently swim 25 metres. This fun filled camp is filled with aquatic activities including introduction to Waterpolo, Rookie Lifeguard, Artistic Swimming as well as organised and team building activities.

Gorge Walking Adventure Day
You will head up to a favourite Gorge of ours in the Angus Glens where you will scramble through a section of mountain stream encountering waterfalls, pools, chutes, rocky steps, holes, slides and often jumps and floating in rapids. This is a great fun activity and very popular! You will also get the chance to explore local beauty spots and perhaps stop at a park for team games.

Canoeing/Kayaking Adventure Day
We will take you to a beautiful freshwater loch or on a popular river trip to go out in the water on a canoeing journey to explore where only boats can go, to spot wild life and have lunch by the river and leave you with fantastic memories. Our instructor will teach you everything you and your crewmate need to do with paddles to get there and maybe stay dry!

This is a fun day for junior explorers wanting to learn about wildlife and learn bushcraft survival skills in the amazing Arbroath coastline caves and visit rock pools. You will also get a chance to explore the local woodland, have fun on a rope swing!

Elie Chain Walk Adventure Day
Come and take part in the famous Chain Walk at the Fife coastal path of Elie. This is an exciting and unique activity provided by Ancrum Outdoor Centre. The route challenges our young adventurers (well equipped with harnesses and helmets) to journey along on a section of this path by means of walking, scrambling and moving across steep sections with the aid of chains bolted on to the cliff face. Watch out for the big waves! This is a popular activity, so book up fast!

October Programme

Information for parents
- Payment - Sessions should be booked in advance and payment must be made at the time of booking. Please ensure before booking that you are able to attend, as we are unable to provide a refund should you not be able to attend.
- Registration - To ensure the safety of your child, we ask you to register your child with our staff at the start of each day and to sign your child out when you pick them up at the end of each session. A fully completed consent form must be completed by parent/guardian prior to the child attending.
- Drop off/Pick up - Children aged 8 and under MUST be signed out by a parent/guardian at the start/end of each session. Children over 8 who wish to leave sessions by themselves MUST have a parent speak to the coach at the start of the camp to confirm this. Children MUST be accompanied by an adult until the camp starts.
- Staffing - Our team of staff hold various National Governing Body sports coaching qualifications and all lead coaches hold a valid first aid qualification. All staff are Disclosure Scotland checked and adhere to Leisure & Culture Dundee child protection policy.
- Lunch breaks - All children are encouraged to bring a water bottle when attending any activities. Children booked into full day sessions will have a supervised lunch break each day. For full day camps please arrange for your child to bring a packed lunch.
- Clothing - We ask that your child arrives appropriately dressed for the activity whether it’s indoors or outdoors. For outdoor sessions please supply a change of clothes and sunscreen.
- Refunds - Please ensure before booking that you are able to attend, as we are unable to provide a refund should you not be able to attend.

Please note - Our holiday programmes are inclusive and accessible to anyone who has additional support needs. We would strongly advise that if you book on an activity, you include the additional information in the application form and if you have any questions before/after booking, please email holiday.bookings@leisureandculturedundee.com and we will assist with your enquiry.
It should also be noted that the following venues may not be suitable for wheelchair users:
McTaggart – We do not have hoists available at the facility.
