PEORIA (25News Now) - Two men were arrested after a reported trouble with a man who was supposedly armed.

Peoria Police say 18-year-old Latrell D. Joiner was arrested on preliminary charges of aggravated domestic battery, aggravated assault, obstructing police, aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, defaced firearm, domestic battery and possession of a firearm without a valid FOID card.

Another man, 19-year-old Marcus D. Foreman, was arrested on a preliminary charge of obstructing an officer.

Police say officers were called just before 2:43 p.m. Monday to the 500 block of West Martin Luther King, seeing two men fleeing from that location.

Both were arrested after a brief foot chase.

A loaded handgun was found in the pair’s flight path.

Both were taken to the jail.
