QUINCY (WGEM) - Quincy’s city council meeting Monday night discussed issues regarding the 54th and Broadway development.

The resolution would authorize a sales tax rebate with the Otis Company out of Omaha, Nebraska.

If approved, four restaurants would be established at the location as well as a gas station convenience store. It was tabled last week by aldermen and decided upon Monday night.

Multiple business owners from across Quincy gathered to discuss the potential issues that the development may bring. Many voiced their concerns that business needs have not been met by the city itself.

As of now, the approval has been tabled until July 15th for further discussion on the matter.
