Knapheide named Presenting Sponsor for Adams County Bicentennial

Next year will mark 200 years of Adams County’s history.

QUINCY (WGEM) - Wednesday afternoon the Adams County Bicentennial Commission announced Knapheide Manufacturing as the Presenting Sponsor for the upcoming Bicentennial celebrations.

Next year will mark 200 years of Adams County’s history.

Bicentennial organizers stated that Knapheide has been an integral part of Adams County’s economic and cultural landscape for over a century and exemplifies Adams County’s tradition of innovation and industry leadership.

“We are deeply honored to have Knapheide join us as the Presenting Sponsor for the Adams County Bicentennial,” said Chuck Scholz, chair of the Bicentennial Commission. “Their generous support is an integral part of celebrating 200 years of Adams County’s history and achievements.”

A check presentation ceremony occurred at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Knapheide headquarters, at 1848 Westphalia Strasse.

The event showcased Knapheide’s role in advancing Adams County’s bicentennial celebration and its dedication to preserving its heritage.

Organizers stated Knapheide generously donated $100,000 towards the Bicentennial’s fundraising efforts offering a significant boost in the amount of revenue needed to celebrate the list of planned events.

“We believe in the importance of celebrating our community’s past while looking forward to its future,” remarked Bo Knapheide, Knapheide president and CEO. “Being part of the Adams County Bicentennial reflects our deep roots to the community.”
