PANAMA CITY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) -For the Bozeman baseball program, this is the 6th appearance in the final four, that the most of an 1A rural team, this is also their 2nd trip in the last 3 seasons. Meaning the team kind of has the final four routine down. Tuesday in Fort Myers, the Bucks got in a light practice over at Estero field where coach Jeff Patton said they really just focused on the basics. Playing a little catch, taking some batting practice and getting in a calm mindset as they approach Wednesday’s semifinal The team then took a trip over to Hammond Stadium, the home of the final four, to give the guys a chance to get some pictures and embrace their environment, then they had a team dinner over at Chick-Fil-A before calling it a night I was able to catch up with coach Patton Tuesday to ask him what the game plan heading into Wednesday is? And why they feel like this is their year to do it.

”We’re just trying to go play, we want to play.” Pattons said. You know we’re not thinking anything other than Trenton and Wednesday. Trey Power is going to pitch and we expect him to do a good job. We’re just going to do what we do. We’re going to swing at the pitches we want to swing yet, we are going to play good defense, we’re going to pitch well. You know the schedule we played, we played good opponents. We’ve played, you know we feel like we’ve played those guys, the Mosleys, the Arnolds, you know we had Newberry come in, we played the South Waltons in the summers and we played Chiles in the preseason. So, we know whatever we see down here, we are prepared for whatever we’re going to see. So, the guys are just confident, they’re ready to go.”

The game at Hammond Stadium Wednesday set for ten a.m. eastern time. Newschannel 7 will have all the highlights and post game reaction coming up Wednesday in the afternoon and evening newscasts.
