Wet conditions to end the week
High pressure across the Great Lakes will result in a sunny and dry day. Our next system will bring rain and thunderstorms tomorrow through Saturday. A marginal risk for excessive rainfall has been issued for the U.P. Rainfall amounts are trending around 1.0-1.5″ in the Western and Eastern U.P. with around a quarter of an inch in the central counties. The initial line of rain moves into the Western U.P. late tomorrow morning. It shifts in the Central U.P. between midday and early afternoon. Scattered showers continue tomorrow night into Saturday. High pressure returns Sunday through Monday with dry conditions. Next week is trending active with rain on Tuesday and Wednesday. The Fourth of July is trending dry and warm.
