Three juveniles lead police on chase from Wake Forest to Raleigh, police say

A police chase from Wake Forest to Raleigh ended in a crash Thursday morning.

At 2:14 a.m., a Wake Forest police officer tried to stop a car for a traffic infraction. Police said the car was a Hyundai, which the officer recognized as a car that is often stolen.

The driver fled the scene. Officers pursued the vehicle into Raleigh and ultimately ended in the area of Hylton Drive. All three occupants of the car were juveniles. They fled on foot after crashing.

When the driver exited the car, it rolled forward and struck a parked vehicle.

The driver was apprehended and is in police custody. The two passengers were identified and will be charged.

While officers were on scene, the owner of the Hyundai reported that it had been stolen.

Police said no one was hurt.
