Sarah Jane (Dye) Budgett, 68, of Marietta, passed away on June 17, 2024, at her residence. She was born August 6 th, 1955, in Marietta, Ohio, to Fred Bruce of Marietta, Ohio, and to the late Nora Bruce.

Sarah was the oldest of four children and often spoke about taking her siblings to Sunday School. After graduating from Marietta High School, Sarah completed her vocational nursing training at Washington County Career Center and worked as a licensed practical nurse for many years. In 1997, with the help of her family, Sarah started Top Drawer Furniture and Design Studio, where she combined her love for others with creativity and style.

Throughout the years of working as a nurse and an Interior Designer, Sarah developed and maintained many friendships that enriched her life with fun, laughter, and many celebrations. All of which she cherished and remembered fondly.

Sarah Married Micheal Clayton Dye on July 13th,1974, and together, they built a family (Bruce Micheal Dye and Kellee Renee Vess) and managed two small businesses: Mike Dye General Construction and Top Drawer Furniture and Design Studio for over twenty years. Family and work always went together, and family always came first. Both Sarah and Mike made God, and their faith in God, the center of their home and relationship. Seeing the two pray together or share a devotional each morning was commonplace. Their love story ended on September 4th, 2019, when Mike lost his battle with cancer.

In 2022, Sarah was re-married to Brad Budgett. This time of life was filled with joy and adventure. As newlyweds, they enjoyed camping, travel, and their new life as retirees. In these moments, Sarah would remind others how important it is to love your partner, to take care of each other, and to enjoy every minute of life. This second act was one of God’s greatest gifts to both Sarah and Brad, a life filled with renewed hope and happiness.

Sarah Dye Budgett was preceded in death by her Mother, Nora Bruce, Brother, Randy Bruce, and first husband, Micheal Clayton Dye. She is survived by her husband, Brad Budgett. Sons Bruce (Darcie) Dye, Bradford Budgett, and Daniel Blair. Daughters Kellee (Eric) Vess and Lynn Rauch (Rob). Grandchildren Maxon Dye, Andrew Vess, Evelyn Vess, Trinity Offenberger, Rae Ann Rauch, Hunter Rauch, Tanner Rauch, Courtney McBride, Tylar Blair. Great Grandchildren Brooklyn Aubrey, Bentley McBride, Mimi Offenberger, and Ellie Offenberger. Sister Barbra Grayson, Brother Fred Bruce Jr., and Father Fred Bruce.

A celebration of life will be held on August 3 rd at Leavitt Funeral Home in Parkersburg, WV, with friends and family gathering from 2-4 pm and a memorial service to start at 4:00 pm. Service will be officiated by Pastor Cody Paraman.
