I’m thrilled that Decathlon is included in the very first edition of TIME Magazine’s ‘World Most Sustainable Companies’. Our commitment to acting responsibly for both people and the planet is part of our DNA. I know that this will mean a lot to many of my teammates. It reflects the hard work put into our sustainable and responsible business practices. We know that the issue at hand has major implications not just for us as a business, but for humanity at large. For 2 years now, we have succeeded at decoupling growth from our CO2 emissions, and our commitment is net zero by 2050. This is only the beginning. This recognition does not mean ‘job done’, but will instead act as motivation for the actions we take in the future.
