    Business development skills are more in demand than ever... But not Wolf of Wall Street style - don't worry, that's dead! For recruiters looking to develop their skills, this is what we recommend: ✔️ Understanding sales psychology is more important than ever and if you know how people make decisions, your conversion rate will increase. ✔️ Disrupting your prospects reflex to say "no" is a skill you need to master if you want to actually enjoy your role. ✔️ Bulk emails have the lowest conversion rate of all time and many email marketing platforms have started blocking them. AI and automated outreach tools is partly to blame for this. Focus on quality outreach and personalisation. ✔️ The sales cycle can be heavily automated through smarter lead generation strategies. Brand awareness is where it all starts. ✔️ Calls definitely still work and I recommend phoning your prospects often, but you'll get a more positive response if there's a level of familiarity and the prospect knows who you are already. You can control this through personal branding. ✔️ Objections will always be there during 99% of meetings. Pre-empt before every call/meeting so you don't get caught off guard. You can usually make an educated guess i.e. large companies will always have internal teams, banks will always have PSAs, small businesses will typically throw out the price objection. ✔️ Figuring out your prospects trigger points is the easiest way to pitch accordingly. People do more to avoid pain than gain pleasure. Stop trying to sell features and benefits (pleasure), and figure out what they are stressed about (pain).     It takes an average of 8 touchpoints to convert a cold prospect. Building your personal brand on LinkedIn gives you the opportunity to fast track this process and we typically find that people who post regularly will typically convert their prospect at touchpoint 4. That's a 50% reduction in touchpoints! If you aren't posting your knowledge regularly, you are literally making your prospects decision to work with you harder. SHOW THEM why they should work with you, and what they will get as a result of working with you simply by posting about it.     Let me share a content hack with you that increased Jessica Kimber's impressions by 7,914% in 12 months... (...resulting in her content getting almost 3.3 million views!) As you will see in the image, these 3 posts are the ones that generated the most views out of all of her content. What do they all have in common? They are photos of her with personal stories. Let me explain... When she first started building a personal brand on LinkedIn, She only really used to post “how-to” content in the form of advice, guidance, facts, statistics, etc. Her posts were purely designed to educate her audience and teach them something. She used to think it was super CRINGE when people posted selfies on LinkedIn. “It’s not Facebook, keep it professional!” She used to think. Through research and learning from people with millions of followers, these people with huge personal brands kept saying "Share photos of you and personal stories". It took her probably 6 months to build up the courage to try it, and eventually, She posted her first photo of herself. It wasn’t a selfie, it was a photo someone took of her on her birthday and she paired it with a story about what she learned over the last 12 months since her previous birthday… This post becomes her highest-performing post in a matter of hours. “That’s interesting” " she thought to herself. She then started playing around with this and posting photos of her more often and since she started doing this, her impressions grew by 7,914% in 12 months!! So recruiters: This is your sign to post that personal story you have been delaying!!
