Updated Power Rankings for Superstars to Win WWE Money in the Bank Matches

The Money in the Bank briefcase has an established history of catapulting the careers of many Superstars who have won it, and this year's pair of winners aim to achieve similar success.

The fields for both the men's and women's Money in the Bank Ladder matches are nearly complete with one spot left to fill in each. Two Triple Threats will be held on the July 1 edition of Raw to determine the final combatants with Drew McIntyre, Sheamus and Ilja Dragunov waging war in one and Dakota Kai, Zoey Stark and Ivy Nile doing battle in the other.

The abundance of fresh faces involved in the two Ladder matches increases the odds that new stars will be made out of the winners. Damian Priest and Iyo Sky both going on to cash in the contract to capture their first world titles following the 2023 event should bode well for this year's Mr. and Ms. Money in the Bank.

Of course, some have better odds of emerging victorious with the opportunistic briefcase than others.

Here are the updated power rankings for every competitor currently slated to compete in the upcoming Money in the Bank Ladder matches.

Andrade's return to WWE in the men's Royal Rumble match back in January was met with plenty of fanfare. Unfortunately, he hasn't been involved in anything of note since.

Following a slow start to his run on Raw, he entered an angle with The Judgment Day that was quickly cut short by his move to SmackDown in the 2024 WWE Draft. Legado del Fantasma teased recruiting him earlier this month, but he has yet to do much else.

The former United States champion brings a wealth of experience to the men's Ladder match, but his chances of actually winning it are minimal.

Interestingly, Iyo Sky has had a far more eventful 2024 so far. She reigned as WWE Women's champion through WrestleMania 40 and has largely remained dominant since being drafted back to Raw while also insisting that Damage CTRL needs to change.

With Sky already having won the women's briefcase last year, there's no reason for history to repeat itself. CM Punk pulled off the feat in 2008 and 2009, but Sky doesn't need to be back in the women's title picture anytime soon and doesn't need the contract at this point to earn a shot.

Carmelo Hayes getting picked so early by SmackDown on Night 1 of the 2024 WWE Draft immediately established him as one to watch.

He had a stellar stint in NXT as a former NXT champion and a two-time NXT North American champion that perfectly prepared him for the grand stage of SmackDown. Similar to Andrade, he's also been spinning his wheels as of late but has looked strong in defeat anytime he's been in action against perennial main event players such as Cody Rhodes, Randy Orton and LA Knight.

His participation in the men's Money in the Bank Ladder match should be no exception, even though he's still too early for him to be holding the contract.

Naomi, on the other hand, is an accomplished WWE veteran and has had taken part in her fair share of Money in the Bank matches. She shouldn't be counted out as a potential winner given her recent interactions with WWE Women's champion Bayley backstage on SmackDown.

Naomi previously battled Bayley for the belt on SmackDown in April as well as at Backlash in France, but Bayley has yet to beat her decisively one-on-one and that could be the catalyst for Naomi to clinch the contract and cash in on her close friend.

Santos Escobar looked to be the logical choice to qualify for the men's Money in the Bank match when he took on LA Knight and Logan Paul in a Triple Threat on the June 28 edition of SmackDown due to Knight and Paul presumably canceling each other out.

Instead, Knight scored the surprise win by pinning Paul and punched his ticket to Money in the Bank for the second straight year. As big of a moment as it was for him, it virtually guaranteed Paul interfering in the Ladder match to cost him the contract.

Of course, there's a solid chance Paul's interference backfires and Knight captures the contract to cash in on Paul for the star-spangled prize at SummerSlam (in what would be an announced match), making him the third likeliest victor.

Chelsea Green is very much a dark horse as well for the women's Money in the Bank Ladder match. Although she tends to lose far more matches than she wins, that might be what makes her an ideal candidate to carry the briefcase.

Additionally, she's gotten over with the audience through her character work in the last year and would undoubtedly excel in the role of Ms. Money in the Bank.

With the way Chad Gable's been booked in recent months, he may not seem like a strong contender on paper to win Money in the Bank this year, but the potential future direction of his character indicates otherwise.

Gable's great heel turn during his Intercontinental Championship feud with Sami Zayn has resulted in him receiving more television time than most. He was never able to win the title and was left behind by the rest of Alpha Academy to boot, but teases of an alliance with Diamond Mine must mean the best is yet to come for him.

The multi-time tag team champ was removed from the Money in the Bank qualifier on June 24 only to reinserted once he was deemed cleared to compete in storyline. If he remains obsessed with the Intercontinental title, winning the opportunistic briefcase could be his way of finally getting there.

Elsewhere on Raw, Lyra Valkyria has been gradually building momentum since arriving in the 2024 WWE Draft. She barely came up short of becoming Queen of the Ring against Nia Jax but has the opportunity to redeem herself with the women's Money in the Bank match.

Valkyria vs. Liv Morgan for the Women's World Championship could be coming regardless, so although she doesn't need the contract, she's still one of the more realistic options.

Jey Uso has been the people's champion for long enough. It's high time he's crowned champion for real, and the Money in the Bank briefcase could ensure that soon becomes a reality.

Since separating from The Bloodline a year ago, Uso has been afforded multiple opportunities at singles gold and has fallen short on every occasion. This is despite him organically getting over as a massive fan favorite and working his way up to main event status.

Uso may not be world champion material for more than a few months, but he is at least owed that moment of winning the big one. Being Mr. Money in the Bank would give him direction for the foreseeable future and guarantee him a shot at super stardom a little later down the line.

Tiffany Stratton hasn't been on the scene for nearly as long but has quickly made a name for herself on SmackDown. She's improved immensely in all areas, winning over the audience in the process.

Tiffy Time will commence with WWE's Buff Barbie becoming Ms. Money in the Bank on July 6, and although her cash-in won't be imminent, it will prove to be worth the wait.
