Earlier this week we had the privilege of partnering with Toronto Metropolitan University to host a virtual session for over 75 students from the DMZ! 💙 DMZ Basecamp is a student incubation program founded to help young entrepreneurs create tech solutions for growing social or economic gaps in society. The event kicked off with 1Password's CEO, Jeff Shiner, as he walked students through 1Password's history, product milestones, and our growth journey. We were also joined by Clara Yeung, 1Password's Product Marketing Manager, who highlighted product marketing and messaging framework best practices, followed by Elizabeth Tam, 1Password's Emerging Talent Specialist, who highlighted our growing internship program. We can’t wait to see the future success of these up-and-coming entrepreneurs as the next generation of change agents in our society. 🎉🚀

If you work in security, you know the SSO (single sign-on) tax can be a sensitive subject. The SSO tax is the practice of software vendors charging extra for SSO solutions. But, what can you do if your team can’t afford the SSO tax upcharge and doesn’t want to compromise security? Here are a couple of options: 🤝 Negotiate for SSO during the buying process. 🔒Use an enterprise password manager, like 1Password, to secure every single sign-on. Read more about the SSO tax and what your teams need to know on our blog: https://bit.ly/3VWEtdv

Identity and access management (IAM) is a framework of tech and policies that let you manage how employees access company resources. For instance, Single Sign-on (SSO) is a subset of IAM. Traditional IAM and PAM tools are not designed to manage the unmanaged applications and devices that are now commonplace in how work gets done today. 1Password Extended Access Management ensures every identity is authentic, every application sign-on is secure, and every device is healthy. ✅ Get all the details: https://bit.ly/4cow9dr

Happy Pride Month! 🏳️🌈 1Password's Pride Employee Resource Group (ERG) kicked off the month with celebrations around the theme of "Powerful Pride". They hosted an internal event featuring Kyne Santos, a Filipina-Canadian drag queen, and virtual Pride Trivia for our employees! Despite recent challenges for the 2SLGBTQ+ community, our ERG intentionally reflected on the power of Pride and the progress they've seen in their lifetimes. Ronan Lyver (they/them) Co-Lead of 1Password's Pride ERG, captured stories from employees highlighting personal moments of impact that team members have witnessed or experienced. At 1Password, we celebrate the small wins along the way and remain committed to working towards a more inclusive and equitable society. Check out the blog for more details: https://bit.ly/4biXUmp
