I'm here to nominate Herbythyme for adminship. Herbythyme is a experienced editor and former admin and former checkuser with +46000 edits on Commons. Herby resigned a while ago but is now back and active. He performed +56000 deletions and 8800 blocks on commons. He regularly tags copyvio images for deletion. He has a great attitude and is helpful, mellow and respectful in his interaction with other Commons users. I think he would make an excellent administrator (again), and I hope the community agrees with me. --Steinsplitter (talk) 13:04, 12 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Acceptance: OK - I had no intention of seeking rights again here however I have only sought rights on any project when I felt I could help.
  • Currently I am making work for the small bunch of admins who are actually active on Commons. They are a hard working group of people who I have a lot of respect for. If I can help them rather than hinder them that would be good. I am often around at times when fewer admins are available and taking todays as an example I could have stopped vandalism earlier.
  • I am not and will not be as active as I used to be. I travel quite a bit these days which means there will be times I am simply not around. However on any day I am I would expect to be able to complete the admin actions required for a year...
  • The success or failure of the request will not worry me. If the community feel I can help, so be it. If not I will continue to do what I do however that will impact of the existing admins.
  • Thanks Stein for the nom - sorry it took me a while to do anything about it   --Herby talk thyme 11:02, 20 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

  • OK - As with all simple questions there is rarely a simple answer but I'll give it a go the best I can.
  • There were personal issues off wiki which I'll not post here, though I'd be likely to respond by email to anyone I trust enough, that affected me.
  • The atmosphere here in Commons was less than good and supportive of admins etc at times at that time.
  • I was probably too involved. In terms of this and the previous point, as I said above, I'll not be around/active in the way I was before so I don't see that as an issue even if my overall position had affected my use of the admin tools which as far as I am aware no one has ever suggested. Given this is an RFA are you suggesting there was any misconduct in terms of admin tools by me Odder - otherwise the question seems less than relevant maybe. That said I'll bet I'll be more active than 90% of Commons admins when I am around. --Herby talk thyme 20:25, 21 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
