What's the issue with Dust Racing 2D screenshot images? I'm the author of the game and the author of the screenshots and there shouldn't be any copyright issues.

A question.

Hello, i was wondering if this source is reliable. [1]

Spruce in Estonia
Spruce in Estonia

Happy new year!

Thank you for saving files from deletion requests and a happy new year!

This spruce grows in Estonia. I have seen it from train window with my own eyes. Taivo (talk) 19:36, 4 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

File:BSicon fexCONTl.svg has been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether it should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry.

If you created this file, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it, such as a copyright issue. Please see Commons:But it's my own work! for a guide on how to address these issues.

Please remember to respond to and – if appropriate – contradict the arguments supporting deletion. Arguments which focus on the nominator will not affect the result of the nomination. Thank you!

   , right? -- Tuválkin 18:21, 14 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I know that you are not the creator of this category, but because you categorise in it I would like you to know that using it is totally impossible. Getting to the last item could take people with slower internet connections hours. |FDMS (WP: en, de) 15:45, 15 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, you’re right. I had encountered this problem before, and of course it is nothing specific to this category, it is a general problem for any category with much more than 200 subcats. But I am planning kludge to make it work. -- Tuválkin 17:07, 15 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I got it: A few links to fixed intermidiate points of the subcat list will make navigation more manageable. However we’ll need to wait three days get this done: Apparently I managed to “harrass/intimidate” three admins and got blocked. -- Tuválkin 23:47, 21 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
✓ Done. -- Tuválkin 15:01, 27 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I removed Category:Things named after oaks, which you recently added. It's named from Oakes Avenue, which in turn is named after Thomas Fletcher Oakes. Perhaps his surname came from the tree, but saying the name of the retirement home does is quite a stretch. - Jmabel ! talk 16:15, 15 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi! Well, you can guess how I ended here. Trying to categorize a Lisbon street named after a guy whose surname means oak in Portuguese — and I got carried away. Ideally, of course, this category about a retirement home will/should be categorized under Category:things named after Oakes Avenue (Everett, Washington), in turn categorized under Category:Oakes Avenue (Everett, Washington), in turn categorized under Category:Things named after Thomas Fletcher Oakes, in turn categorized under Category:Thomas Fletcher Oakes, in turn categorized under Category:Oakes (surname), in turn categorized under Category:Things named after oaks. But there are gaps in this breadcrumb trail, of course. -- Tuválkin 16:22, 15 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
But we don't even know for sure that Thomas Fletcher Oakes' name came from the tree, rather than being (for example) an anglicization of the German (sometimes Jewish) name "Ochs", or who knows what else. - Jmabel ! talk 23:00, 15 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Fair point. It should be researched, and probably not too hard to look up. Any legitimate relationship can be the base for categorization, while surely any spurious one should not. -- Tuválkin 01:21, 16 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Blocked

Your recent behavior at COM:UD is intimidation/harassment and harassment of another user, which is not permitted on Commons. This is not the first sort of incident where you've acted inappropriately like this, and I've warned you about it before. Given your history here, you really ought know better; I've blocked you for 3 days so you can take a break and familiarize yourself with our civility policies. -FASTILY 21:27, 21 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Three days, huh? Well, you rightly said that there was some intimidation/harassment going on at the Anabel_a.jpg undelete request: Three admins piling up on me over bogus tone concerns, and now a forth comes to block me. Nice to see you took the time you usually lack when closing DRs to block me, Fastily. Thank you, all, for being obvious in your cliquishness. -- Tuválkin 23:42, 21 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Since you're clearly not interested in using your talk page constructively while blocked, I've revoked your talk page access. Again, please take a moment to think about what you've done, and consider why Commons does not tolerate POINTy behavior and harassment of other users. -FASTILY 00:20, 22 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Three days seems rather extreme for expressing an opinion. I think Fastily is confusing intimidation/harassment with sarcasm. And if you’re going to block someone for POINTy behavior, I’d suggest User:Werieth‎. Useddenim (talk) 05:15, 22 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
