A subsequent novel, ''The Sons of Sheik'' which appears to be a spin-off is copyrighted, as it appears to be the inspiration to one or more films, but that is not the case with this book/cover-art. After doing a google search for similar covers to the book, many appear to be associated with the subsequent sequel, ''Sons of the Sheik'' and the 1926 Silent film, 'The Son of the Sheik'. |

I took an image of the inside title page, with copyright notice (a bit blurry, but readable), it makes no mention of the cover-artist. Judging from the simplicity of the cover art, with the aforementioned research, I believe making this as PD-US-not-renewed is justified |

The sequel to this work, titled The Son(s) of the Sheik is copyrighted, as it was the inspiration for one or more films. A google image search doesn't appear to show any relevant entries. Most images that appear on subsequent releases of this book, if any, appear to be images from the movie The Son of the Sheik in 1926.
