Deutsch: Tabakfabrik Rhein-Weser Nußloch, Rollbetrieb (Aufn.: 1950er Jahre). Hier wurden Zigarren (Brasil Roller) und Stumpen (Sumatra Fehlfarben) mittels sog. Rollbrettern auf einheitliche Größen gefertigt. Im Fabrikalltag war es unter den Frauen üblich, während der Arbeit zu singen. Sowohl weltliches als auch kirchliches Liedgut gehörten zum Repertoire, ebenso Gebete. An manchen Fabrikstandorten wurde daraufhin Singen, Pfeifen und das Abhalten von Vorträgen (formelle Umschreibung für Gebete) verboten. Auch das Mitbringen von Körben, das Tragen von Krinolinen (Unterröcken) während der Arbeitszeit sowie das Ausspucken in den Fabrikräumen war strengstens untersagt (§ 9 Fabrikordnung). Neben dem Rollbetrieb gab es noch weitere Abteilungen für Sortierung und Versand.
English: Tobacco factory Rhein-Weser Nussloch, rolling operation (1950s). Here, cigars and cheroots were made to a uniform size using so-called rolling boards. In everyday factory life, it was common for women to sing while they worked. Both secular and religious songs were part of the repertoire, as were prayers. As a result, singing, whistling, and lecturing (a formal euphemism for prayer) were banned at some factory sites. It was also forbidden to bring baskets, wear petticoats during working hours, and comb hair in the factory rooms (Section 9 factory regulations). |
