Category:2013 in Vancouver, Washington

Thank you for sorting "2013 in Washington (state)" images by month. I wonder if it might also be useful to create populate Category:2013 in Vancouver, Washington and create similar categories for other years as well. --Another Believer (talk) 15:53, 24 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Created, now just needs to be populated and have proper parent categories (Vancouver, Washington by year?). --Another Believer (talk) 15:57, 24 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Glad to help. I was looking at Category:September 2013 in the United States the other day and saw all of your photos in Washington state so thought it would be a good idea to add a September month category under Category:2013 in Washington (state). I have never created a city by year category, but now that I see how to do it by looking at your example I can do that with some of my more popular cities over here :) Thanks for the tip. --Mjrmtg (talk) 16:28, 24 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Great! How did you add so many categories so quickly? My watchlist just exploded with activity. --Another Believer (talk) 16:45, 24 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
(BTW, see Category:2013 in Oregon for an example of subcategories by city and by month.) --Another Believer (talk) 16:46, 24 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I went to your Category:2013 photographs of Vancouver, Washington by Another Believer and on the bottom right of the page I used the cat-a-lot tool, selected all images and copied them to the newly created Category:2013 in Vancouver, Washington. --Mjrmtg (talk) 16:54, 24 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
OK, thanks. I am not familiar with this tool. I just turned it on in my preferences and will read the documentation. This might save me a lot of time in the future, as I do everything manually now! --Another Believer (talk) 16:56, 24 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Wow, this tool is awesome. I just created the Elks Building subcategory. --Another Believer (talk) 17:05, 24 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Glad I can teach someone a cool tool too :) I've wanted to learn how to transfer files from wikipedia and flickr. If you ever find out how to do that, could you let me know? Thanks. --Mjrmtg (talk) 17:06, 24 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Tift College

I saw the message about the pass being required. Hm... Do they have an entrance sign at the Tift College compound? WhisperToMe (talk) 08:35, 28 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

There is an entrance gate with a guard. There might be a sign before that on the road into the campus. --Mjrmtg (talk) 10:14, 28 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Just checked on Google Street View and there is a sign for the college before the entrance gate. --Mjrmtg (talk) 10:35, 28 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
If you will be in the area sometime in the future, will it be okay if you photograph the sign? WhisperToMe (talk) 14:20, 28 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, I'll photograph it on my way back home from Thanksgiving. --Mjrmtg (talk) 14:57, 28 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you so much :) WhisperToMe (talk) 15:40, 28 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
