Although this frame does appear to be from the linked video, the video is not marked as public domain on youtube and as far as I can tell there is no sign in the source that it's from a US federal government source. Buidhe (talk) 12:09, 9 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

  •  Keep It is his deposition in a federal case, I would say that it is the work of a US Attorney and PD-USGov. --RAN (talk) 07:44, 10 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
The ruling in the case is certainly public domain. But why is this filming of the proceedings? The source does not state who made the filming. If it is a news organization, for example, it would still be under copyright. Buidhe (talk) 13:08, 10 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Keep, probably. Gates's deposition was not open to the press (see this article from shortly before). The Washington Post released some video excerpts that November, specifying that the video was released by the Department of Justice, the page also indicating that the full deposition could be found on C-SPAN (though the link is dead). I'm not too sure about how federal trials work, but I think that government employees would be filming a deposition that they were planning to present in court. Kept: per discussion. --Infrogmation of New Orleans (talk) 17:38, 16 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
