This file was initially tagged by Xiloynaha as duplicate (duplicate) and the most recent rationale was: File:Unix history-simple.svg
They are not the same. Sanandros (talk) 22:39, 23 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

They are not the same any more, because I updated File:Unix history-simple.svg after tagging them duplicates, but if you look at the history you'll see that I synchronized both files because they forked (but were originally the same thing). As a side note, the rationale for keeping File:Unix history-simple.svg rather than File:Unix history-simple.en.svg was that the former was used on many more pages than the latter. If we want to keep the .en.svg suffix, we should still delete the latter and rename the former. --Xiloynaha (talk) 23:21, 23 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry for the mess (in case I am responsible... not sure ;) I did not notice that there is another English version, I just saw a French version. I am all for unifying the two versions and getting rid of all but one eventually, thus deletion of this one seems fine to me...

Side note: Solaris' death might not have been announced officially, but I still think it should be marked as being not developed further. If not then probably HP-UX should not be either - I deem them equal in this regards, because in theory HP-UX could be ported to other architectures as well as Orcale decide to change their course of action. However, until there are any clear signs of that the most accurate public knowledge is that they are not developed further. --Stefantauner (talk) 10:49, 24 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

In that case, feel free to re-add the skull. From what I've seen, for now it's mostly rumors and speculation, but I may not be the best informed person. (In any case it may be better to discuss this on the file talk page rather than here.) --Xiloynaha (talk) 19:10, 25 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Kept: In case, revert edits on Unix history-simple.svg. There are several versions for both files; maybe some coherence can be found. Ruthven (msg) 07:12, 18 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
