Not "own work". -Nard 02:23, 6 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hello N, I made this map and I assure you I made it myself. It is true that the basic background is not mine (it is taken from a map I found on Google, which probably came from the book Geschiedenis van de Nederlanden 1500-1780), but I erased all the original data, added some places that were not shown, and deleted others. The original map showed the economic situation in the Low Countries in the 16th century, however this one is focused solely on the military movements at the start of the Eighty Years' War and thus is no copy. If you however are able to find an identical copyrighted map, or have any other means of proving I did not make this map myself, go ahead; I shall listen to what you say. Please provide the source of the file you modified. After all, it is a derivative work, which normally needs permission from the copyright owner of the original work. If you think, that this does not apply (because the map is too old), please show the map, so we can decide. Regards, -- ChrisiPK (Talk|Contribs) 23:19, 19 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Deleted. No original source has been specified by the author of the derivative. MichaelMaggs (talk) 17:32, 10 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
