Europacity ist der Werbename für ein städtebauliches Entwicklungsgebiet in Berlin-Mitte (Moabit) nördlich des Berliner Hauptbahnhofs. Ähnliche Projekte ziehen sich entlang der durch Räumarbeiten in den 1930ern für Albert Speers Weltstadt Germania Pläne, und durch Befestigung der Grenze zwischen Ost- und West-Berlin (1961-1989) entstanden Narbe quer durch die Stadt in nord-südlicher Richtung, dessen augenscheinlichstes und bekanntestes Beispiel die "Ende der Geschichte" Triumph-Bauten des Potsdamer Platzes darstellen. Ein ähnlicher Geist weht 30 Jahre danach auch durch die schachbrettartigen Parzellen rund um die Heidestraße. "Blühende Landschaften!"

Europacity is the PR name for an urban development area in Berlin-Mitte (Moabit) north of Berlin Central Station. Similar projects exist along the north to south running scar that was left behind by the bulldozing of Berlin for Albert Speer's World Capitol Germania in the late 1930s, as well as the fortification of the border between East and West Berlin (1961-1989). The most glaring and best-known example of these is the "End of History" triumphal architecture of Potsdamer Platz. A similar state of mind inhabits the checkerboard-like plots to the left and right of Heidestrasse 30 years later. "Blossoming landscapes!"
