Text on the plate: Rest der mittelalterlichen Berliner Stadtmauer Errichtet um 1250, im 14. Jahrhundert ergänzt - die Stadtmauer umgab beide Stadtteile Berlin und Cölln - die noch vorhandenen Mauerteile wurden durch An- und Umbauten verändert - im 17. Jahrhundert verstärkt durch Bastionen. Um 1680 zwischen Stralauer Straße und Klosterkirche durch Häuser ergänzt - seit 1924 befindet sich im Hause Waisenstraße 17 die Gaststätte "Zur letzten Instanz" die 1963 restauriert und erweitert wurde. Erected around 1250, supplemented in the 14. century - the city wall surrounded both quarters Berlin and Coelln - remaining parts of the wall were extended and rebuilt - in 17. century fortified with bastions. Around 1680 between Stralauer Straße and Klosterkirche (monastery church) supplemented by houses - since 1924 at Waisenstraße 17 the restaurant Zur letzten Instanz („ultimate resort“) is located which was restored and expanded in 1963.
