Deutsch: DR 75 252 (Badische VIb, Reihe 9, Bj. 1908) des Bw Lauda, 1944 in Giebelstadt mit Luftwaffenoffizieren, Flugplatzbahn, Einsatz beim Bau der Startbahnverlängerung u.a. für den Zement-, Sand- u. Kiestransport. Links Bauing. Lt. Ambros Greiner (Bauunternehmen, Bad Mergentheim). Das Gleis verlief an dieser Stelle schienengleich im rechten Winkel zur Startbahn, und über diese hinweg weiter in südlicher Richtung über Wolkshausen zum Abzweigbahnhof Gaukönigshofen der "Gaubahn" Ochsenfurt-Röttingen-Weikersheim. Die Lok 75 252 steht mit "Tender voraus" in Fahrtrichtung Norden, und somit in Ri. Betriebs- u. Kasernenareal des Flugplatzes Giebelstadt. Vor der Lokomotive ist auch das Gleis der Lorenbahn (Feldbahn) zu erkennen, die, gezogen von einer kleinen offenen Diesellok den Weitertransport der Baustoffe übernommen hat. Das Gleis der Lorenbahn bog nach Westen ab, und war dem Bau der neuen Startbahn folgend, parallel dazu angelegt. Es ist bisher nicht nachgewiesen, ob die Lorenbahn 1944-45 bis über die R 19 (heutig B 19) hinaus verlängert worden war, vermutlich wurde sie nach der Übernahme des Flugplatzes durch die US Army Air Force (USAAF) ab 20.04.1945 noch einige Zeit bei der Reparatur von Bombenschäden an der Startbahn und an Abstellboxen eingesetzt. |
