| Description | Direction sign at the exit to the Miyajimacho Island ferry terminal. I am headed to the Itsukushima shrine, so I am apparently headed in the right direction. It's a good 15 min away on foot. Nothing much to report here, so let's move on, shall we? Miyajimacho island is located just off the coast at Hiroshima, Japan and takes about 10- 15 min to get here by ferry. From Hiroshima station to this ferry terminal takes about 1 hr 35 min by tram (streetcar) or a mere 35 min by suburban train. I rode the tram on the way in (halting on the way to be horrified at the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park) and took the train back as I had a Shinansen train to catch at 18:02, so taking a tram back would have meant missing the Shinkansen.
