Staphylococcus haemolyticus on Macconkey agar (without bile salt and crystal violet)

Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Traditional MacConkey agar inhibits the growth of most Gram-positive organisms due to the presence of bile salts and crystal violet. However, a modified version of this agar without these inhibitors allows the growth of Gram-positive bacteria like Staphylococcus haemolyticus.
