Description |
English: Andrew Johnson had two siblings, one brother and one sister. His sister Elizabeth died as a baby; His brother, William P. Johnson, was born in Raleigh, NC on October 10, 1804. Like his younger brother, William also served as a tailor's apprentice. However, William worked as a carpenter later in life and actually built Andrew a tailoring table that is still located inside Andrew Johnson's Tailor Shop today! William eventually moved to Texas, where he died from a hunting accident near Velasco in October, 1865.
