Hi there,

Great map, however, there are some mistakes in this one. I'll list them:

  • Kafr Shams and Kafr Nasj are rebel held, with the SAA on the outskirts. Clashes and shelling are ongoing around those towns. Both are SAA held on this map
  • You forgot to add the rebel held enclave north of Kanaker in western Ghouta, as is shown on the "Cities and Towns" template map on Wikipedia
  • Haydariyah south of Baath City is contested, but red on this map

For the rest: great map :)

Many thanks! Yeah it's always a pain with new maps and there always tends to be a whole host of mistakes, so thanks a lot for taking the time to post these - I do really appreciate any and all help in keeping these maps accurate. Alhanuty also posted a list of issues on my talk page, and I've uploaded a new version which I think addresses them *fingers crossed*. Lemme know what you think of the new version. Thanks! fixing

[edit]

the Quneitra and border with the Golan area needs to be fixed, also Regime forces in Nasib border cross are besieged, the control over the area with the border with jordan in eastern daraa is contested.Alhanuty (talk) 19:03, 19 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Fixed the Israeli border. As for the Jordanian border, the detailed map is saying that there's several towns under govt control in the border area, so I've marked it as generally contested (makes sense given its porous nature) with certain villages controlled by govt.
