[UPDATE JUNE 25] 🍾 We've now released the final HD version of the AM landscape infographic, available for download NOW 💎 https://lnkd.in/ezKA-QMB ______________________ Original post 🚨💥 After many hours spent collecting feedback from the community and aligning logos in Figma, here it is: The AM hardware landscape 2024 ⤵ ⬇ 𝘓𝘦𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘢 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘣𝘦𝘭𝘰𝘸 𝘵𝘰 𝘳𝘦𝘤𝘦𝘪𝘷𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘧𝘪𝘯𝘢𝘭 𝘩𝘪-𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘰𝘭𝘶𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘱𝘰𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘪𝘯 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘪𝘯𝘣𝘰𝘹 𝘣𝘺 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘦𝘯𝘥 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘸𝘦𝘦𝘬. For this big annual update, we mapped 614 manufacturers, incorporating 100+ modifications based on feedback from the AM community. This is a real collaborative effort, so thanks to everyone who contributed! Something new: the infographic now includes a section dedicated to post-processing, highlighting 20 manufacturers offering solutions in this key area of the AM ecosystem. A few takeaways: • Once again, we see the dominance of polymer 3D printers (offered by 55% of manufacturers), followed by metal AM systems (26% of manufacturers). • In the busy metal AM category, DED is on the rise, offered by 37% of metal AM equipment brands, on the heels of PBF-LB (40%). • Another market segment we're watching closely: ceramic AM, which grew from 40 to 52 equipment manufacturers. While I love the relaxing effect of spending hours aligning logos, I think this landscape is a bit overcrowded... This might not be a sustainable situation, as many industry observers noted recently. But for now, we need your help to finalize this poster and get an accurate picture of the AM landscape. Do you see any logos missing? Do you have any feedback?
