Importer

edit

Realise this is far earlier than would would normally be expected for a WikiBooks users but I am attempting to create a WikiBook, likely to be called Character Encodings. Per w:Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Computing#EBCDIC transwiki to WikiBooks I am trying to implement a stand-up of the result of w:Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Code page 875. This at this moment has at WB:RFI EBCDIC code pages transwiki'd from WikiPedia and Support templates from at this time awaiting awaiting import. To complete the WikiBook I anticipate there may also be some discrete pages which may require transwiki'ing from WikiPedia on a copy/nodelete basis to form an easy starting point for those pages: w:EBCDIC and w:Code page are possibles but unconfirmed at present. EBCDIC code pages are however one subset of code pages that exist and several hundred requests for import could potentially follow into the book. I normally use Djm-leighpark (discuss · email · contribs · logs · count) for most work but the bulk nature of the number of pages in the Character Encodings miniproject means I will be using automation or semi-automation and tooling (probably off wiki rather that bot) and I wish to do that under a separate user. Thankyou. Bigdelboy (discusscontribs) 08:41, 2 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Bigdelboy:   Done seeing no opposition, but on the condition that only one of your accounts will have the import permission at any time. Leaderboard (discusscontribs) 09:53, 5 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
