==History==

The Majlis Wahdat-e-Muslimeen was founded by Muhammad Amin Shaheedi and a group of [[Shia Islam|Shiite Muslim]] clergy on August 2, 2009 at [[Islamabad]],[[Pakistan]]. It has a prominent presence among the [[Shia Islam|Shiite Muslims]] in the [[Punjab]], [[Sindh]], [[Khyber Pukhtunkhwa]], [[Baluchistan]], [[Gilgit-Baltistan]] and in [[Azad Kashmir]]. The party's main perspective was/is to raise the voice against oppression on [[Pakistan]]'s [[Shia Islam|Shiite Muslim]] community, to establish goodwill with the [[Sunni Islam|Sunni Muslim]] community, to raise the political and religious awareness among the [[Shia Islam|Shiite Muslims]] of [[Pakistan]] and to revive the teachings of the [[Quran|Holy Koran]] and [[Prophet Muhammad]] in the society.
