In April 2009 Warner Bros. set director Todd Phillips to write a sequel to ''The Hangover'' with Scot Armstrong. The dealmaking came two months before the first “Hangover” went out through Warner Bros. on June 5, 2009. The Hangover 2 is an upcoming 2011 American comedy film directed by Todd Phillips and written by himself and Scot Armstrong. It is the sequel to 2009's The Hangover. It stars Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms, Zach Galifianakis, Justin Bartha and Ken Jeong, and was produced by Legendary Pictures. Production began in October 2010 and is scheduled for a fourth of July weekend 2011 release.
