Welcome!

Hello, Lgcsmasamiya, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If an article has no references, just add {{unreferenced}}. Please don't clutter up the article by also adding irrelevant tags {{refimprove}} and {{morefootnotes}} as you did here. Thanks. PamD 12:50, 5 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Stub tags

Please take care not to add {{stub}} to an article like Guanabara (Joinville) which already has a specific stub tag - it just wastes other editors' time. Also please note that stub tags should be added after everything except inter-language links - you added this one after the link to the Portuguese wikipedia. It is easier for everyone if tags etc are in predictable places. The existing {{brazil-geo-stub}} wasn't in the exactly right place, as it was before the category - and I've found a better stub for it anyway now. Welcome to Wikipedia and Happy Editing. Disambiguation link notification for December 8

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited 2012 in Honduras, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Lempira (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Thanks for the curation of my Kojo page, but...

Thank you for curating my recent page Kojo Tovalou Houénou, but you tagged it as unreferenced which is an error. If you'll read the page, you'll see that although it uses sfn format rather than ref format (which makes it easier to have page numbers for each claim), it is very sourced. I'd appreciate removing the tag, because that would make my heart happy. Thanks for the hard work! AbstractIllusions (talk) 20:56, 12 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

New Page Patrolling

Hi. I noticed that you reviewed 2013 Toronto FC season as appropriate for inclusion. However, the article appears to have no references at all and as such must be tagged. For more information on patrolling new pages please see WP:NPP, and if you have any questions don't hesitate to ask me on my talk page. Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 01:42, 13 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • I noticed the same with several other articles, including Erle Elsworth Clippinger. New page patrolling is our first defense against the addition of inappropriate articles that are added to the encyclopedia. As such, please make sure to accurately review the new articles, add appropriate maintenance tags, and cleanup any blatant issues during the process. If you have questions or need help, please feel free to contact me anytime. Best regards, Cindy(talk to me) 05:51, 15 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion declined: Scientific Constant

Hello Lgcsmasamiya. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Scientific Constant, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: not "about a real person, individual animal(s), an organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content" so does not qualift for WP:CSD#A7. Ways to improve Norio Ishizawa

Hi, I'm Kudpung. Lgcsmasamiya, thanks for creating Norio Ishizawa!

I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. Please provide additional reliable sources that establish notability per WP:BIO and WP:CREATIVE

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse.

Hello, Lgcsmasamiya. I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you started, Shinichi Takeda, for deletion because I don't think it meets our criteria for inclusion. If you don't want the article deleted:

  1. edit the page
  2. remove the text that looks like this: {{proposed deletion/dated...}}
  3. save the page

Also, be sure to explain why you think the article should be kept in your edit summary or on the article's talk page. If you don't do so, it may be deleted later anyway.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks, Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 23:28, 17 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Why would you mark an article like this as reviewed? It has many obvious problems, varying from crappy English, to being completely unreferenced, having no categories, etc. I have marked it as unreviewed, so that someone who knows about plane crashes can have a look at it. --Randykitty (talk) 15:31, 29 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The article Alice in Wonder Underground has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non reliably sourced EP

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Please review the page patrolling guidelines

Hi Lgcsmasamiya

I have noticed that you have marked several articles as reviewed even though many of those articles still have serious problems, and some should be deleted altogether. It's best to leave a page unreviewed unless you are sure that it meets Wikipedia's inclusion standards and is properly referenced. Please review WP:NPPLOG to better understand when it is appropriate to mark a page as reviewed. Many thanks. - MrX 15:37, 22 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

stop I came to this page after seeing that you had marked as reviewed an article which most people would have flagged at once as Speedy Delete. I noticed the welter of "I have marked an article you marked as reviewed as unreviewed" comments, and it appears that you are not engaging with people over this. I am asking you now to stop reviewing articles until you understand with precision what the status of 'reviewed' means. At present I see good intentions but an imperfect understanding of the process. I am sure you have the right intentions and just need to take a step back and learn how to work better. Fiddle Faddle (talk) 14:15, 28 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I'm Timtrent. I wanted to let you know that I undid one or more of your recent contributions to Troy High School (New York) because it didn't appear constructive. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks! You are misusing your power in Curation and are tagging articles as unreferenced when they contain references. Yu have done this type of thing sufficiently often for me to view it as vandalism Fiddle Faddle (talk) 14:41, 28 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at 2012–13 Football Superleague of Kosovo. Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been reverted or removed. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. again you have marked an article with references as unreferenced. Fiddle Faddle (talk) 14:43, 28 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at Alexandru Ionescu (socialist militant), you may be blocked from editing. Yet another article that you have flagged as unreferenced. This must stop. Fiddle Faddle (talk) 14:46, 28 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

This is your last warning. The next time you vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at Kostas Giotas, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Yet again you have tagged an article as being without references. You are causing work for others. This behaviour must cease. This is the final warning for vandalism. Lgcmasamiya, you seem to be unwilling to discuss your edits, even when you've made obvious mistakes, as when you added the 'unreferenced' tag to the Alexandru Ionescu article which had many references. Several people have complained here on your talk page, but you have never responded. An administrator has proposed in the WP:ANI discussion that you should be blocked in order to get your attention. You can avoid this if you are willing to reply at ANI. Thank you, EdJohnston (talk) 18:39, 28 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Blocked

I'm sorry, but I have blocked you from editing for a period of 24 hours. Your enthusiasm for page curation is admirable, but you are making too many errors and creating too much work for other people to do in cleaning them up. You have been informed of many errors here on this talk page, and you have been asked to stop reviewing new pages - but you have failed to stop. You must heed the community's request and stop reviewing new pages - at least temporarily until you have learned enough to do it with far fewer errors. If you agree to stop reviewing new pages, you can be unblocked right away. -- Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 05:36, 29 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Please, when the block expires, or you show that you understand and ask for it to be lifted, please work with an experienced editor to learn what is good practice and what is not. Among your bad choices of edits there are some excellent choices, wholly excellent choices. I would like to see you stay and grow as a wikipedia editor. It upsets me that you are not engaging in conversations with people, all of whom want to help you. We absolutely value enthusiasm like yours. Please accept help. Fiddle Faddle (talk) 13:10, 29 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
This is to welcome you back from your short period of being blocked. I'm glad you're back. Please enjoy using WIkipedia and editing here. As you do, please use great care when choosing to tag an article. No-one wanted to block you. The discussion at AN/I shows that. But people felt there was no alternative. Please don't trip and fall. We want you here, working with enthusiasm, and working well. Fiddle Faddle (talk) 09:12, 30 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Now you are back

I'm really pleased to see that you have taken on board the strong advice to wait until you have more experience before reviewing and curating articles. Thank you. A number of experienced editors are available to help and mentor you. I know you are learning and trying to learn. They are happy to help and enjoy helping editors who want to learn. Would you like an introduction to one or more of them? Fiddle Faddle (talk) 08:11, 31 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I need to grab your attention again, please

First I am concerned about the messages regarding your reviewing articles. There are several examples where it shows you reviewed the article today. You have been asked to give it up and blocked briefly to try to get your attention. I hope you realise that you do not yet have the competence to review articles. The major errors you are making are evidence of that.

Second I am concerned that you have a welter of edits with no edit summary.. This is against custom and practice. Other editors need to know what we are doing. Please do not make a single edit, even to your own talk page, without an edit summary.

I am worried that you do not communicate with anyone. I have held out so many overtures of help, guidance and hints and tips that I do not understand why you insist on ploughing your own furrow in your own way.

Let me be clear. The path you are on is likely to get you blocked for increasing lengths of time, eventually indefinitely. I am not an administrator. I can't block you, but I am severely tempted to ask that you be blocked.

Please take advice, and take it now.

If you want an unbiased administrator's view, place {{adminhelpme}} on this page and ask for help below that. One will come by and offer you help very shortly afterwards. Fiddle Faddle (talk) 20:04, 2 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I am reading into your response that you are going to take notice of my message to you. Good. I thank you for that. I see you as having huge energy and I do not want to see you discouuraged. Two things, please:
  1. Please sign your own messages on your talk page by adding ~~~~ which translates to a signature automatically
  2. You forgot the edit summary, despite agreeing to heed my advice. Please use edit summaries at all times
Please slow down and get it right. Fiddle Faddle (talk) 20:14, 2 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • Lgcsmasamiya, I'm the admin who blocked you last time - I didn't really want to, but I felt I needed to. And I will block you again if needed - though I sincerely hope it will not come to that. Now, communication is a key part of working here at Wikipedia, and that's something you don't seem to do much of. So, what I would like to see is some further explanation of your "OK" answer above - please explain exactly what you mean and exactly what you will do differently. -- Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 20:32, 2 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • I've seen such great results for the editors who join in that I would positively encourage it. I wish it had been around properly when I joined. I made a whole slew of errors and I would have found it very useful. Fiddle Faddle (talk) 22:16, 2 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Now stop reviewing and unreviewing

stop

This edit shows me that you do not understand the meaning of stopping having anything whatsoever to do with the reviewing of articles. Yes, I will be checking to see if you made a mistake or not, and no, I will not retract this warning if you happened to be correct. You have agreed to leave this area alone. Others judge you to be lacking WP:COMPETENCE in this area. It is not just my judgment.

You agreed to stop and you have not stopped.

Among the good edits you create havoc. Your havoc is most unwelcome here. I am not the one to block you but I can tell you that you are in danger of a lengthy block if you persist in this behaviour. You are not helping the project at all. Please take this as a final warning. Fiddle Faddle (talk) 08:35, 3 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The article Benita Puértolas has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this newly created biography of a living person will be deleted unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article. (Note that IMDB is not considered a reliable source - see WP:RS/IMDB)

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. An optimist on the run!   19:50, 18 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

What?

But she died in 1968, why are they trying to delete it for a living person?

Lgcsmasamiya (talk) 20:02, 18 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

(c/e) My bad, I misread the article and assumed it was a BLP. However, please add reliable sources (not IMDB), otherwise it's likely to be deleted anyway. An optimist on the run!   20:04, 18 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The article 16 dobles has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Not notable

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Hello, Lgcsmasamiya. I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you started, Lourdes Guerrero, for deletion because I don't think it meets our criteria for inclusion. If you don't want the article deleted:

  1. edit the page
  2. remove the text that looks like this: {{proposed deletion/dated...}}
  3. save the page

Also, be sure to explain why you think the article should be kept in your edit summary or on the article's talk page. If you don't do so, it may be deleted later anyway.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. EzPz (talk) 08:54, 25 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 1 week for continuing to mark pages as reviewed without actually reviewing them. When you review a page, you must make sure it meets basic quality standards, and you simply are not doing this, as evidenced by the many messages above as well as quick look at your reviews. You've let articles filled with unsourced information become "reviewed" without adding any cleanup tags or, in the case of BLP info, deleting it as is required by policy. Furthermore, you have never once responded to anyone's concerns about your edits. Wikipedia is a collaborative environment that requires group interaction--you can't just do whatever you want. You must discuss matters with other editors when they raise concerns with you, and you must stop causing lots of extra work for other people by marking things as reviewed without actually reviewing them. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the following text below this notice: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}. Speedy deletion nomination of José Isidro Moreno Árcega

Hello Lgcsmasamiya,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged José Isidro Moreno Árcega for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

Mexican parliamentarians

Hi. Thanks for your efforts in creating articles for Mexican politicians. Just a friendly advice, it's better to use "As of 2013, X was a deputy..." or "X was elected to the Y congress in the Z election" rather than "Currently...". The problem with using "Currently" is that is obliges wikipedians to update all the articles after next election, and in many cases this doesn't happen. --Soman (talk) 21:21, 9 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of Panorama Porno

Hello Lgcsmasamiya,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Panorama Porno for deletion, because it seems to be an article that was created in violation of a block or ban. Content created by banned users will be deleted immediately.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Tritario (talk) 17:54, 14 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Blocked

Hi Lgcsmasamiya. Over the last year or so several users have expressed concerns over the way you review new articles. This is ok - we all make mistakes and can learn from them - but as you haven't responded adequately to these concerns it leaves me with little choice but to block you. If you want to discuss this then please do so on this talk page. If you feel this block is not needed then you may use the {{unblock}} template to appeal it. Regards Basalisk inspect damageberate 20:21, 14 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Response

This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Request reason:

Ok, i think that i got this so far,but however, there are a lot of unreviewed articles, some of then have been well structures, at least you have to tell me for how many time i will be blocked Lgcsmasamiya (talk) 20:43, 14 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

We're going to need to hear more than "I got this", because you've said things like that before and then the trouble has continued. What is it that you've "got"? What do you think was the problem with how you were editing, and how do you intend to change that? Are you willing to have a long conversation here with experienced users about how to patrol correctly before you touch a single new article in the patrol queue? Do you understand that it might be the case that you will have to stop patrolling for a long time while you learn how things work, and that if you're unblocked you can not go back to doing things the way you have been doing them? A fluffernutter is a sandwich! (talk) 20:51, 14 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

To answer a question you asked Lgcsmasamiya, you are blocked "indefinitely". That means you will not be unblocked until you can show to us that you are going to change the way you edit. You don't need to post a new unblock request; just answer Flufflernutters several questions below. As one of the prior blocking admins, I'll also help review and provide advice as needed. Qwyrxian (talk) 00:21, 15 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I have unblocked you. Please stop doing NPP until you've learned how to do it, but in mu opinion this was not a valid rerason for an indefinite block. The matter is being discussed at the Administrators Noticeboard/Incidents. here. DGG ( talk ) 02:08, 15 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
To continue, you must not patrol articles! We can discuss later what you need to know in order to patrol them. It is possible that I may be over-ruled at NPP, and your block will be reinstated. It certainly will if you continue to patrol new pages. . — Preceding unsigned comment added by DGG (talkcontribs) 02:15, 15 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • I proposed a ban on your reviewing new pages. That ban is likely to be accepted. If you choose not to respond to comments by other editors on your new page reviews, it will remain in place indefinitely: a large part of the community's dissatisfaction and one of the reasons for your block (kindly undone by DGG) is your unwillingness to even acknowledge that other users wish to discuss matters with you, and I should warn you that uncommunicative editors sometimes to end up being blocked indefinitely. This is a collaborative project: time to start talking. Thank you. Drmies (talk) 16:17, 15 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • Your unblock request, by the way, suggests that you don't know why you were blocked. I strongly urge you to read the comments at WP:ANI, or this may well start all over again. It is possible that there's a huge backlog of pages to look at, but things simply have to be done right. Drmies (talk) 16:20, 15 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

New Page Patrol ban

As per Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents#Ban proposal the community has enacted a topic ban as follows:

"User:Lgcsmasamiya is banned from WP:NPP until they have proven to experienced editors (Kudpung and DGG, for instance), that they are capable of reviewing articles in ways that confirm to our guidelines in regards to such things as referencing and copy-paste problems, and make a firm commitment to be responsive to issues raised by other editors and be willing to make changes accordingly."

Accordingly, until and unless this topic ban is lifted by community consensus, do not engage in New Page Patrol or the review of recently created articles under any name. Failure to abide by this restriction would constitute valid grounds for you to be blocked by any administrator. I am sorry to have to be the community's agent in imposing this restriction. Fortunately, any time that you can convince a set of experienced editors that you will do NPP within community norms as specified above, the topic ban can be lifted. Hi there,

I just wanted to let you know I declined the speedy deletion nomination of Doge (meme). For better or worse the article does at least attempt to establish notability, and provides multiple legitimate sources. You may wish to initiate an AfD on the article, which is the next logical step. I'm having trouble with a user called Zebbe who keeps changing information on my article. On several attempts the user changes the credits on the article Descent_to_the_Underworld(album). Speedy deletion nomination of XERC-AM

Hello Lgcsmasamiya,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged XERC-AM for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

New Category:Czech cheeses

Hi Lgcsmasamiya, thank you for reviewing my first page!

I'm not sure that "Balkansky syr" can be categorized as Czech cheese. It's not a traditional Czech cheese, it's just produced there as other cheeses as Edam, Gauda etc. It's something as Czech variant of the Greek feta or the Bulgarian sirene. These are just details, I'm trying punctual :-)

OK, sorry again, i'm gonna delete this unrelated request. Lgcsmasamiya (talk) 22:46, 1 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

To answer your question, New page patrol is voluntary so it is up to you to refrain from accessing the feed. Is there some obstacle for you in learning the proper method for reviewing the new articles? That would be the optimum solution. Tiderolls 23:17, 1 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

There are a lot of good articles in the unreviewed split, can them considered "not-improved"? Lgcsmasamiya (talk) 23:27, 1 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

How does that impact your actions? Tiderolls 23:29, 1 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I don't know, but... Lgcsmasamiya (talk) 23:34, 1 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

If you wish to be unblocked you will have to convince editors who are well-versed in the topic that you can patrol new pages properly. So far this discussion is not convincing me that you have any intention of complying with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. I will do what I can to help you but I will not waste my time on someone that does not want my help. Again, the decision is yours. Tiderolls 23:40, 1 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

OK Lgcsmasamiya (talk) 00:07, 2 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

So, if you're prepared to offer some statement that you're willing to edit within policy and convention, I can notify the editors that would be qualified to assess your intent. I would advise that you read the comments at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/IncidentArchive819#Lgcsmasamiya's patrolling and familiarize yourself with the standards for review set forth at Wikipedia:New pages patrol before posting. If, after reading the pertinent texts, you have questions or require clarification, ask here and I will find someone to address your concerns. Good luck, Tiderolls 00:17, 2 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

You are banned from new page patrolling. That is all; simply agree to stay completely away from it and you'll likely be unblocked. ----jpgordon::==( o ) 16:47, 5 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

  • You're missing the very important point that you have already been restricted from patrolling at all, Lgcsmasamiya. Using an unblock request to tell us that you will patrol well if you're unblocked is basically telling us "I don't plan to follow the restriction I'm under!", and an unblock request that says that is unlikely to be greeted with anything but refusal. If you want to be unblocked, you need to convince a reviewing administrator that you will follow the restriction the community placed you under (no patrolling) and that the community can trust you to keep your word about that this time around, since you didn't keep your word about it last time.
