**Hello Uncle G. Well, simply, I did not know about the possibility to organise Commons galleries, like WWII. For sure, then, the place of this Gallery is on Wikipedia Commons and it can be deleted here. The recent issue on Wikimedia Commons that you mention is unrelated. Problem there is that I used a "Twitter to Commons" interface, taht leads then to easy uploads from Twitter.
