Community task force
Hey I want to thank you for helping me get List of Community episodes ready for WP:FLC and you seem to primarly focus on TV I was wondering if you would be intrested in working on a Community wikiproject. I brought this up here. There are already some people on board but thought that it would be more effective to reach out to people directly rather then letting the idea sit. Questions? four Olifanofmrtennant (she/her) 04:52, 8 December 2023 (UTC)
:Thanks for letting me know! I generally just edit articles on my watchlist, which is why you've seen me on the list of episodes article and the season articles. But I'll keep my eye out. Keep up the good work! Drovethrughosts (talk) 13:13, 8 December 2023 (UTC)

TV Series[edit]

Hi, I've just gone through you TOP 40 list, which includes many of my favourites. But I'm surprised the two of my TOP 10 are not included: Criminal Minds and The Blacklist. If you haven't seen them you really should watch (just a little recommendation). Best Regards Denisarona (talk) 13:33, 9 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

your revert on True Detective[edit]

I observe you just shot down probably hours of work by an IP editor without hesitation, even adding a smiley face to add insult to injury. Are you sure this was the friendliest approach you could muster? Cheers CapnZapp (talk) 20:47, 24 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

People's work on here gets reverted/deleted all the time. It's an assumption that it took "hours of work". I also don't know what you mean by "even adding a smiley face to add insult to injury". Anyway, cheers. Drovethrughosts (talk) 22:04, 24 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
People's work on here gets reverted/deleted all the time. That is true. It is also not a good argument for not being civil about it...
It's an assumption that it took "hours of work". Yes. A pretty reasonable assumption, don't you think? Even if you can whip up a table of that size and complexity in five minutes doesn't mean everybody can. Besides, even if the IP editor works just as quickly as that doesn't mean the amount of work is less.
I also don't know what you mean by "even adding a smiley face to add insult to injury". Look at your edit summary. It is quite easy to interpret your final semi-colon together with the automatic end bracket as a ;) or Wink emoji even if you might not have meant this.
I am not saying your action is wrong per se and you have hopefully found that I haven't actually objected to your edit. However, perhaps the mere fact a random uninvolved editor (=me) found your action harsh enough to engage you on talk can be something for you to ponder on before next time you decide to go straight to the undo button without first engaging in Talk. Have a nice day CapnZapp (talk) 14:34, 25 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I was in way no way uncivil as my edit summary merely stated the reason for my revert. What you insinuate was a "smiley/wink" was a typo, I accidentally hit the semi-colon key before hitting the enter key, and as you know, all edit summaries are enclosed with brackets. Have a good one.
