Revision as of 06:10, 5 June 2009

Hello, I am CarpetCrawler. My main interests in Wikipedia are comic books and music, but I am also a fan of sports (Mainly basketball,) professional wrestling and any form of media (Television, film, written,) so expect to find me editing articles in those places, too.

Main areas of expertise

My main focus in Wikipedia is to improve music articles. I am a fan of ALL kinds of music, like pop, rock, jazz, progressive rock, folk, country, metal, heavy metal, some hip hop, funk, disco, dance music, amongst MANY others. My biggest area of expertise when it comes to music is when it is relative to my favorite bands and artists. The artists that I spend the most time doing work for are:
Phil Collins
Billy Joel
Genesis
Huey Lewis and the News
Cyndi Lauper

However, that does NOT mean that that's all I focus on! As you can probably tell, I also spend a lot of time doing work on other artists and songs in music. :)

I am also a big comic book fan, and am specifically a fan of the characters, Henry Pym and Janet van Dyne, better known as "The Wasp". Marvel better bring her back, damnit! :(

Other than editing articles, I also spend a lot of time volunteering at Wikipedia's "Did You Know?", reviewing nominations, as well as nominating some of my own. I also spend time reviewing articles at Wikipedia's Good Article Nominee's. My main areas of expertise at Wikipedia's Good Article section are music, sports, and television.

My sandbox

You can find my sandbox here, which is where I do my "mad scientist" experiments and work on things relating to articles on Wikipedia.

My philosophy

My philosophy is to always make sure to be courteous, kind and generous. One thing I like to do is give out barnstars, whether it be for doing some impeccable and great work on an article, or for something small like cleaning vandalism off of my userpage, or just being there to help me out. Life is too short for anyone to not be rewarded for their efforts, even if it's a silly online award or banner. I tend to always tell people to have a nice day when I leave messages, say thank you, and of course smile! :)

I would LOVE to help you!

I also love to help people when it comes to expanding articles, especially music articles. If you ever need help, I can lend a hand. I'm especially good with finding reviews for reception sections. I have access to the full Newsday archive, for example, so I can definitely do my best to help you out! Just ask. :)

Articles I'm planning on working on

Hey, if you'd like to help me, I would appreciate and love ANY help. :)

Here's what I want to work on sometime in the future. I want to get these articles to at least Good Article quality:
"Follow You, Follow Me"
"Invisible Touch (song)"
"Sussudio"
"Take Me Home (Phil Collins song)"
"Crosstown Traffic (song)"

OK, here's the last of stuff "about me"

If you have any questions, feel free to head on over to my talk page and leave me a message. As you'll hopefully tell right away, I am a very nice person and ALWAYS do my best to assume good faith. I am also a very friendly and courteous person. :) Thanks, and have a good day!
