The miniseries The film stars Oprah Winfrey, Tamela Mann, Jordin Sparks, Kerry Washington, Gabrielle Union, Thandie Newton, Malinda Williams, Lamman Rucker, Idris Elba, Macy Gray, and Marla Gibbs.
The miniseries received such a good reception that it led to a weekly series entitled Brewster Place. However, it was short-lived due to low ratings.
