* '''oppose''' There is as much, if not more, reason to merge [[Leyland DAF]] into the original [[Leyland Motors Ltd]] article. As it's impossible to merge it to both, the best solution is to leave it as three separate articles, as at present. Fair use rationale for Image:Daflogo.jpg

Image:Daflogo.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Confusing article

This article is confusing as its title and lead appear to be about the current DAF trucks business owned by Paccar, but then it has the original business and the car manufacturing History in depth, with a side article for the 1980/90s Leyland DAF bit that then went bust splintering out of the middle in a separate side article, and LDV Limited

Is this supposed to be the whole DAF Story or DAF Trucks or ? Confused - BulldozerD11 (talk) 23:27, 27 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed merge

I fully support merging DAF NV into this page and turning that page into a redirect, as proposed by Fixer88.  ⊂| Mr.choppers |⊃  (talk) 07:30, 28 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

DAF truck naming

Since DAF trucks often share numbers (DAF 1600 for instance, used on several vehicles over a long time) there must be some sort of names for each generation of DAF trucks that can be agreed upon so that we can easier begin creating articles. I welcome any and all proposals and will crosspost this on the Dutch DAF talkpage for more (and likely better informed) suggestions.  ⊂| Mr.choppers |⊃  (talk) 07:30, 28 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
