TransAsia Airways Flight 235 (GE235/TNA235) was a Taiwanese flight from Taipei to Kinmen operated by TransAsia Airways that lost control soon after takeoff on 4 February 2015. The flight crash-landed into the Keelung River after hitting Nanhu Bridge with 58 people on board.[3]

Flight

The ATR 72-600 operating the flight was travelling from Taipei Songshan Airport with 53 passengers and five crew members on board. According to an official with Taiwan's Central News Agency, the plane crashed after hitting a bridge, clipping a taxi in the process. The exact circumstances of the accident are under investigation, being led by the Taiwanese Aviation Safety Council. This plane was delivered to TransAsia Airways on 14 April 2014.[4][2] The accident was reportedly caused by flame-out of the left engine, resulting in a reduction of thrust and a wing drop.[citation needed] A detailed accident report is to be released. A Video of this accident was posted onto Youtube.
