If you are unable to complete a move for technical reasons, you can request technical help below. This is the correct method if you tried to move a page, but you got an error message saying something like "You do not have permission to move this page, for the following reasons:..." or "The/This page could not be moved, for the following reason:..."

This will automatically insert a bullet and include your signature. Please do not edit the article's talk page.{{subst:RMassist|current page title|new title|reason=edit summary for the move}}
the - If you object to a proposal listed in the uncontroversial technical requests section, please move the request to the Contested technical requests section, append a note on the request elaborating on why, and sign with ~~~~. Consider pinging the requester to let them know about the objection.
- If your technical request is contested, or if a contested request is left untouched without reply, create a requested move on the article talk and remove the request from the section here. The fastest and easiest way is to click the "discuss" button at the request, save the talk page, and remove the entry on this page.

Uncontroversial technical requests
- Finnish paganism (currently a redirect to Baltic Finnic paganism) → Finnic paganism (currently a redirect instead to Baltic Finnic paganism) (move · discuss) – Perform requested move, see talk page: due to multiple suggestions in the the talk page for this change, which is a logical and historically accurate change IkuTurisas (talk) 17:55, 30 January 2024 (UTC)

Contested technical requests
- Hans Christian Andersen → H.C. Andersen (currently a redirect back to Hans Christian Andersen) (move · discuss) – More known by his initials then by his full name DrKilleMoff (talk) 12:47, 30 January 2024 (UTC)
- What a load of absolute rubbish. Very definitely known much more by his full name in the English-speaking world. -- Necrothesp (talk) 13:09, 30 January 2024 (UTC)
- It appears that government/academic sources in his native Denmark use "H.C." per specific customs, but someone arguing that he's "More known by his initials" is not even in the same universe as anyone who has ever read a book. ---DOOMSDAYER520 (TALK|CONTRIBS) 15:04, 30 January 2024 (UTC)
- Chinna Marumagal (2024 TV series) (currently a redirect to Chinna Marumagal (TV series)) → Chinna Marumagal (TV series) (move · discuss) – unnecessary extension 103.42.163.157 (talk) 15:59, 27 January 2024 (UTC)
- It looks like a Tamil dub of Chotti Bahu (2008 TV series) was released under this title by Zee Tamil. See YouTube (Zee Tamil). SilverLocust 🃏 💬 02:01, 28 January 2024 (UTC)
- Cheick Diabate (footballer, born 2002) → Cheick Diabaté (footballer, born 2002) (move · discuss) – Article's subject has an acute accent on the last 'e' in their surname. This is evidenced by the person's Twitter name (with the account referred to by the official Twitter account of his current team) and coverage by the BBC. See: (1) @C_Diabate50 (January 8, 2024). "Thanks to everyone who voted❤️🤍@OfficialECFC" (Tweet) – via Twitter.; and (2) Birkett, Andrew; Segal, Andrew (29 March 2023). "Ramadan: Exeter footballer describes training during fasting". BBC News. Retrieved 27 January 2024. Domeditrix (talk) 18:52, 27 January 2024 (UTC)
- Sources in the article appear not to have the accent. Bensci54 (talk) 05:48, 28 January 2024 (UTC)
- There's one typo for the photo underneath the title (Diabase), which is obviously incorrect. All other instances show 'Diabaté'. Domeditrix (talk) 11:14, 28 January 2024 (UTC)
- @Domeditrix: "Sources in the article" meaning in Cheick Diabate (footballer, born 2002)#References, not the BBC article. SilverLocust 🃏 💬 11:54, 28 January 2024 (UTC)

- Factitious dermatitis (currently a redirect to Dermatitis artefacta) → Dermatitis artefacta (move · discuss) – The ICD11 uses the term Dermatitis artefacta under Artefactual skin disorder[1] CursedWithTheAbilityToDoTheMath (talk) 22:06, 29 January 2024 (UTC)
- A discussion would be warranted IMO. We don't blindly copy ICD-11 for medical disorder names. — kashmīrī TALK 22:37, 29 January 2024 (UTC)
- Central Jail Rawalpindi → Adiala Jail (currently a redirect back to Central Jail Rawalpindi) (move · discuss) – WP:COMMONNAME: A lot more sources for Adiala Jail than Central Jail Rawalpindi Sheriff | ☎ 911 | 00:32, 30 January 2024 (UTC)
- This seems OK in principle but it should probably be Adiala jail not Jail, per MOS:CAPS as it's not consistently capitalized in sources. — Amakuru (talk) 08:13, 30 January 2024 (UTC)
- I would disagree with this. Clearly a proper name, even if not the official name. -- Necrothesp (talk) 13:05, 30 January 2024 (UTC)
