Title

Renanalmeids, your page move to "DB 252 class" in this edit makes little sense to me.

This locomotive class was from Deutsche Reichsbahn originally, so DR 252. When after reunification the DR and DBB merged to become the DB, the series number changed to 156, so DB 156 as you point out in the lead sentence. I think you have to choose whether you want the title to be the pre-reunification name, DR 252, or post-1992, DB 156, but not an id like DB 252 that never existed and is half one, half the other. The German article is DR-Baureihe 252, which reflects the original series number under the Deutsche Reichsbahn, and it makes sense that this article should follow the same pattern.

Secondly, I think of Baureihe as more of a "series", although maybe "class" is okay; it should depend on what English sources call it, if there are any; have you checked? Mathglot (talk) 19:04, 2 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
