Pat Butcher

Pat Evans is a fictional character in the popular British soap opera EastEnders.

She has been played by Pam St Clement since 1986, this makes her one of the longest serving actors in the show.

Pat has had a turbulent life in Walford. She despaired of sons Wicksy and Simon and they gave her a rough ride. She married teenage sweetheart Frank in a lavish ceremony in 1989 and they soon took over most of the businesses in Walford. This was until Frank went bankrupt and left. She had to pick up the pieces. Knight in Shining armour Roy helped her out, and they soon married. Since then she has been torn between the two men, but in the end chose Roy. Roy died of a heart attack in 2002.

Pat is famous for her big, bold clip on earrings that she wears.
