Malabar Hill is the "poshest area" of Mumbai city in India. Malabar Hill has attractive residences, including the Chief Minister's house and a palatial state guest house. It is also the location of Wakeshwar Temple (or its ruins?) founded by the Silhara kings, sometime between 810 and 1260, destroyed by the Portugese and rebuilt in 1715 by a person called Rama Kamath.

The Banganga Tank attached to the temple is the oldest structure in Mumbai.
