The DeGroote School of Business is at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. McMaster's School of Business was founded in 1952, and was renamed in 1992 after a successful Canadian entrepreneur, Michael G. DeGroote. The current dean is Paul Bates, who has close ties to the Toronto banking community.

The MBA program was introduced in 1964, and in 1973 the Co-op MBA option was added. DeGroote differentiated from other Canadian business schools by its focus on experiential learning through co-op, as well as its focus on health services management. Because of the co-op option, the school's average age is relatively young (typically 25-26 at admission).
